India Women vs Zimbabwe Women, 2nd ODI - here is the probable playing 11, Dream11 picks, pitch report and live streaming in India in one place. India thumped Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the 1st ODI in Vadodara on Friday, and a win on Sunday seals this three-match series. Zimbabwe, to their credit, made India work for the new ball and have Beloved Biza in decent touch - but the gulf between the world No. 3 and No. 14 showed in the end.

If you are in a rush, check the table below first. It gives you the match, date, time in IST, venue, both probable XIs, our captain and vice captain picks, and a short pitch note. Then read the rest if you want the reasons behind the picks. We write Probable / Predicted on every XI that a team has not confirmed yet. That matters for Dream11, because one late change can break a whole team.

Why this game matters

This is the first-ever bilateral women's ODI series between India and Zimbabwe, and it carries ICC Women's Championship points, so it is not a dead rubber even if the scoreline starts to look one-sided. India lead 1-0 after Friday's nine-wicket win and a win on Sunday wraps up the series with a game to spare. For Zimbabwe, who were swept 3-0 in the T20Is in Raipur before this, Sunday is about showing they can push a top side for longer than 27 overs.

The context favours India heavily. Smriti Mandhana has won all four ODIs she has captained so far. India are the defending world champions, ranked 3rd in women's ODIs with 3,712 rating points to Zimbabwe's 14th place and 335 points. The spin trio of Shree Charani, Deepti Sharma and Kranti Gaud took nine of the ten Zimbabwe wickets on Friday. But write Zimbabwe off completely and you miss the details: they had India 19 for 4 in the first T20I of the tour, and they came into this tour fresh off an ODI win over the West Indies. They are a young side learning fast, and Sunday is another exam.

Head to head

There is no long history here - this is the first bilateral ODI series the two sides have ever played. India lead 1-0 after the 1st ODI on October 23, when Zimbabwe were bowled out for 197 in 49.5 overs and India chased 200 for the loss of just one wicket in 27.1 overs. The rankings gap (India 3rd, Zimbabwe 14th) tells you the shape of this match-up better than any old record could. The head-to-head numbers here come from the series guides and scorecards we checked.

Head to head helps, but it does not pick your team for you. In a series like this, current form and the confirmed XI at the toss matter far more than history. Use the record for context, then pick on form, fitness and who is sure to play.

Pitch and weather

The BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara, is a flat, well-maintained surface that is good for batting. Four ODIs have been played here, with an average first-innings score of around 278 to 283, good bounce, and very little in it for bowlers early on. Spinners get grip and turn once the ball gets old, and there is usually dew in the second innings, which makes chasing the smarter play. That is exactly what happened on Friday: Zimbabwe's 197 never looked enough, and India's spinners - Charani's career-best 4 for 23, Gaud's 3 for 42, Deepti's 2 for 44 - ran through the middle and lower order.

Weather should not get in the way. Expect a hot, hazy afternoon in Vadodara, around 34 to 36 degrees at the 2:00 PM start, with very little chance of rain. It will be physically demanding for bowlers and fielders in the afternoon sun, so hydration breaks and smart rotation matter. A full 50-over game is on the cards.

Playing 11 - how we picked it

India Women Probable / Predicted XI: Smriti Mandhana (c), Shafali Verma, Pratika Rawal, Harmanpreet Kaur, Tejal Hasabnis, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wk), Shree Charani, Kranti Gaud, Sayali Satghare, Jintimani Kalita.

Zimbabwe Women Probable / Predicted XI: Beloved Biza, Sharne Mayers, Nyasha Gwanzura, Modester Mupachikwa (wk), Chiedza Dhururu, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano, Michelle Mavunga, Nomvelo Sibanda (c), Tendai Makusha, Loryn Phiri, Olinder Chare.

We built these XIs from the actual playing XIs used in the 1st ODI, as reported by the live coverage and scorecards we checked. India handed an ODI debut to medium pacer Jintimani Kalita on Friday - she came into the squad for the injured Renuka Singh Thakur - and with the series on the line, an unchanged XI looks the most likely call. Two things are worth watching at the toss: Renuka is out of the series and Jemimah Rodrigues is still recovering from a hamstring tear, so neither is available; and India could rotate one seamer or batter with the series lead, though winning sides rarely change. For Zimbabwe, the big watch is captain Josephine Nkomo, who sat out the 1st ODI with a niggle as Nomvelo Sibanda stood in as captain. If Nkomo is fit, she walks back in - probably for one of the middle-order batters - and takes the armband back. That is the one selection call we could not confirm before writing, so check the toss.

If a team rests a player, brings in an extra spinner, or swaps a fast bowler for the pitch, the XI will change at the toss. That is normal. For Dream11, wait for the toss, swap in the confirmed names, and only then lock your captain and vice captain.

Dream11 and fantasy picks

Our captain pick is Deepti Sharma or Smriti Mandhana. Our vice captain pick is Shree Charani or Beloved Biza. The thinking is plain: pick players who touch the game a lot. Deepti bowls ten overs and bats in the top six - she is the safest captaincy pick in this fixture. Mandhana anchors the chase and rarely wastes a start at home. Charani is coming off a career-best 4 for 23 on this very pitch, and Biza is Zimbabwe's one proven points engine after her 62 on Friday.

For a safe team, build around the probable XIs above. Shafali Verma's powerplay strike rate, Harmanpreet Kaur's middle-overs control, Kranti Gaud's new-ball wickets and Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano's middle-order runs for Zimbabwe are all solid. For a grand league team, one smart risk can be Pratika Rawal, who has looked tidy at No. 3, or Kelis Ndhlovu, Zimbabwe's leading run-getter over the last year, if she gets a game. But keep the base of your team safe - in a one-sided fixture, loading up on too many Zimbabwe players rarely pays off.

Team shape that works on most days: 1 to 2 keepers, 3 to 5 batters, 1 to 3 all-rounders, and 3 to 5 bowlers, based on the pitch. On a flat Vadodara pitch with spin likely in the middle overs, an extra spinner over a third seamer is fine. Check credits as well - a cheap player who is sure to play is better than a big name who sits out.

Key battles

Watch the new ball first. Kranti Gaud and Jintimani Kalita against Beloved Biza and Sharne Mayers could decide how long Zimbabwe's innings lasts - if India's seamers strike early, the spinners feast in the middle overs, as they did on Friday. Then watch India's chase: Mandhana and Shafali against Loryn Phiri and Tendai Makusha, because Zimbabwe's only path into this game is early wickets. In the middle phase, Deepti Sharma against Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano is where Zimbabwe tried to rebuild on Friday and where India closed the door. Small things, like who keeps wicket tidily behind the stumps on a turning track, can decide your Dream11 rank.

Live streaming and toss in India

In India, the match is on the Star Sports Network on TV - Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi - and streams live on JioHotstar. The toss is at 1:30 PM IST, half an hour before the 2:00 PM IST start. Set a phone reminder, check the confirmed XIs at the toss - especially the Nkomo fitness call - and fix your Dream11 team then. Do not rely on a team you made the night before if there is late news on fitness.

Our verdict

India start as heavy favourites, and rightly so. They are at home, they are the defending world champions, their spinners owned this pitch 48 hours ago, and Mandhana has not lost an ODI as captain yet. Zimbabwe's path is narrow but real: early wickets with the new ball, a platform from Biza and Ndhlovu, and 240-plus on the board to make India think. Our lean is India, comfortably, most likely sealing the series on Sunday. Play the conditions, not the hype: wait for the toss, check the Nkomo news, and pick your captain from the sure starters.
