Keeping in mind the workload and upcoming schedule, the BCCI has decided to offer much-needed rest to Virat Kohli, along with former India captain MS Dhoni and allrounder Hardik Pandya. While Suresh Raina has regained his place, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya have been rested. Kuldeep Yadav, on the other hand, misses out due to an injury.

The first match of the series will be played between India and Sri Lanka on 6th March, followed by the clash between India and Bangladesh on 8th.Nidahas-trophy-2018-indian-playing11-cricket-teamThe hosts will then play Bangladesh on 10th of the month before all the three teams play each other again. The final will be played on 18th March.
The prominent performer to miss out was Mayank Agarwal who scored 2000 plus runs in the season. “Mayank has not been selected because we are following a pattern. Any domestic performer will have to play India A before being considered for senior team selection,” a senior BCCI official close to selection committee told PTI.
All the matches will be played in Colombo, at R Premadasa Stadium.
